Biography

Megan Schnetzer is Assistant Professor and Chair of the Graduate Special Education and Alternative Routes to Certification (ARTC) Programs at AIɫɫ. With experience spanning both K–12 special education and higher education, her work focuses on preparing educators to support diverse learners through evidence-based, inclusive practices.

Mrs. Schnetzer’s professional interests include educator well-being, trauma-informed education, social-emotional learning, and the intersection of nervous system regulation and professional practice. In addition to her work in teacher preparation, she is a trauma-trained somatic practitioner, speaker, and consultant who provides professional development on burnout prevention, resilience, and sustainable practice for educators and helping professionals.

She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Social Science in Prevention Science, where her research explores educator burnout and nervous system safety as a foundation for professional effectiveness and retention.
